Constructive Distraction: TodayWasMeaningful

Procrastination doesn't have to be a total waste of time. This post highlights websites to make your time avoiding writing research papers and reading textbooks productive.

While the point of this series to keep your Internet distractions constructive, sometimes that strays from the traditionally educational and turns into personal betterment and self reflection. This month's distraction is a personal blog penned by Jessica, TodayWasMeaningful.

By no means am I Little Miss Sunshine, but reading Jessica's blog was refreshing. It made me step back and look at life's big picture. Especially now, when I'll soon be transitioning. In May, I'll graduate from university and step further into adulthood.

This post in particular made me think about how I want to spend the next eight (and some change) years of my life. My journey has been pretty straight narrow and I wasn't afforded all the luxuries of most children and teens. This post made me think about taking a chance, saving my pennies and finally going on a proper vacation or doing something frivolous I have never had the luxury of doing.

Until next month, kiddies...
