First, I'd like to apologize for being a tiny bit neglectful to the blog this summer! Adjusting to a full time work schedule and some extra projects has been keeping me busy! But, I do have a fave new lip product that I'm super excited to share. A couple weeks ago I was killing time before a dinner, so I meandered into the beauty department at Barney's. I was convinced to try some product, and lo and behold, a new obsession was born. What is it? Hourglass lip stain. I've converted my foundation to Hourglass, which is a post for another day and another venue. BUT, this Aura sheer lip stain in petal, at a pricey but worth it $26, is a gem.

It's a water-based stain so it doesn't feel heavy at all. And the color I chose, petal, is light and looks very natural on. You can blend it and build the color easily, unlike some stains that dry right away making it perfect for long days of chatting, coffee drinking, and client meeting.

This month, I'm picking an old stand by: Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. Beeswax is all sorts of good for your pout, and the peppermint gives a cooling tingle. Since July is one of the hotter months of the year, I like to keep it simple and avoid sticky glosses and bulky balms because I'm active and on-the-go.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is wallet friendly, only setting you back a couple bucks. It's available pretty much anywhere, but of course drug and cosmetic stores will have a wider variety than the grocery store checkout.

It comes in the standard tube or a round tin. Both are pocket friendly.
