Fall Playlist: Jasmine Edition

via Tumblr
First, let me start with an apology. This semester I hit the ground running and still haven't stopped. Unfortunately, blogging took the biggest hit. But I hope I've hit my stride and can come back to blogging.

Autumn is my favorite season. I love everything about it: the fashion, the leaf change, hot cider, visiting the pumpkin patch and/or apple orchard. My favorite month is October, which happens to house my favorite holiday: Halloween.

It's only September, but I'm already getting in the holiday mood. I've been distracting myself from homework by Googling Halloween costumes.

So, on that note, I've decided to introduce, not just a fall playlist, but a halloween playlist. Most of these songs are older, but still great for a party or just a festive feeling.

1. Dragula - Rob Zombie; Fun fact: the song's namesake is the Munster family's drag car, DRAG-U-LA.

2. Scream - Avenged Sevenfold; Again, no playlist is complete without at least one song from your favorite band. Fun fact: the song's beat is the same per minute as the human heart.

3. This is Halloween - Marilyn Manson; Recorded for Nightmare: Revisited, this tune is a great update of the Elfman original from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

4. Zombie Dance - Escape the Fate; The title says it all. Fun fact: ETF's lead singer, Craig Mabbitt, recorded a version of What's This? from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

5. Voodoo - Godsmack; A good, melodic song. Great background party music. Fun fact: Godsmack is currently on the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival Tour.

6. (bonus!) End of the Summer - Theory of a Deadman; Not halloween related, but a cliche, celebratory fall song.

Until next time...

Rock out, kiddies!
